-Sharks are very sensitive to water temperature therefore many sharks migrate south to their preferred climates during the cooler winter months.

-Sharks need to stay in their preferred temperature because a large majority of them are cold blooded, though some sharks have a higher metabolic rate and can alter their internal temperature better.

Feeding

-They also move to environments where food is plentiful such as a preys' breeding ground.

-They will also follow prey to continue feeding on them.

Reproduction

-Sharks migrate for breeding purposes.
