Research Report (replacement for Field Report) Criteria

   
     

Teacher will assign topics to support field trip data.

Short Field Trip: class block + homeroom and break (~next class period)

paper typed db space 2 pages minimum
3 sources, preferably journals or keys, possibly science books or internet ( no encyclopedias,
including CD-ROM type encyclopedias)

Medium Field Trip: ½ day trips

paper typed db space 4 pages minimum
5 sources, as above

Long Field Trip: overnight

paper typed db space 7 pages minimum
7 sources, as above

illustrations may be useful, but this is a paper and not a picture key

Paper is due same date as field report due unless otherwise assigned.
All papers are to attribute credit to authors for material utilized.

USE CBE style: (Author(s), year) at end of sentence OR if book (Author (s), year, pg#)
Author is last name (unless more than one author by that last name, then list initial) only.

"Works Cited" page (not included in number of text pages required).
